Booking Essentials
Weekend Minimums
- March to August: Weekend bookings require a minimum of 17 guests, or payment equivalent to 17 guests.
- September to February: Weekend bookings require a minimum of 15 guests, or payment equivalent to 15 guests.
Midweek & Last-Minute Stays
Smaller groups are very welcome for midweek stays and last-minute bookings. Just get in touch – we’re happy to chat through your group size and dates.
Deposits & Payments
- A £50 per person deposit is required for Hen Parties, Girls-Only Groups, and Stag Parties.
- Your balance is due 8 weeks before arrival.
- A £600 pre-authorised damage deposit will be held on your credit card a few days before arrival and released within 7 days of check-out.
A Note on Atmosphere
This is not a wild party house. We kindly ask all guests to respect the property and its heritage – it’s a place for celebration, connection, and care. If this doesn’t sound like your party vibe, we ask that you do not book with us.

Holmfirth Hens is a spacious property designed for memorable group gatherings. We welcome all group sizes – and to give you the best possible price based on your occasion, group size, and length of stay, please fill out our Enquiry Form. We’ll get back to you promptly with a tailored quote and further details.
Weekend Minimums
- Weekend bookings require a minimum of 17 guests, or payment equivalent to 17 guests.
- If your group size changes, you can add guests at any time with no extra booking fee.
- If numbers fall below 17, our house minimum price will apply.
Smaller Groups
We offer flexible accommodation options for smaller groups, especially during low-season dates or last-minute bookings. We can close off parts of the house to make your stay more affordable – just ask.
Extended Weekends & Lazy Sundays
- Add a third night (Thursday–Sunday or Friday–Monday) at a reduced rate – excluding Bank Holiday weekends.
- Enjoy a Lazy Sunday with a 5:00pm checkout for just £30 per person (subject to availability).
Deposits & Payments
- Hen Party Groups: £50 per person deposit
- All Other Bookings: 25% deposit
- Non-refundable Booking Fee: £125 per group
- Balance due: 8 weeks before arrival
- Security Bond: £600 pre-authorised on your credit card a few days before arrival, released within 7 days of check-out
- Preferred payment: Bank transfer

Midweek, Christmas & New Year Stays
Midweek bookings and festive stays are available by separate arrangement. Please enquire early – Christmas and New Year dates go quickly!
Smaller Group Pricing
Our standard pricing is based on 17 guests. If you’re a smaller group, especially for a last-minute stay, we may be able to offer a reduced rate. Please reach out via our Enquiry Form – we’d love to help.
Arrival & Essentials
Check-In & Preparation Time
- Main Group Check-In: From 3:00pm
- Early Access: The lead booker plus 3 helpers may arrive from 1:00pm to decorate and prepare – just let us know in advance.
Check-Out Options
- Standard check-out is 11:00am
- Fancy a Lazy Sunday? Extend your stay until 5:00pm for just £30 per person (subject to availability)
What’s Included
- A Holiday Home Essentials Pack: toilet paper and hand soap in all bathrooms, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, and more
- All bedding provided, plus a bath towel and hand towel per guest
- Please bring your own towel for hot tub, sauna, or sunbathing
Guest Welcome & Support
- A warm welcome tour on arrival helps you make the most of our spacious property – please allow 20 minutes, with at least 2 guests present
- Local assistance available throughout your stay if needed
Parking & Transport
- On-site parking for 12–14 cars, with overflow parking available by arrangement
- We’re happy to help organise station pick-ups and drop-offs from Huddersfield, Wakefield, Manchester, and Sheffield
Supermarket Deliveries
We’ll gladly meet your delivery and store chilled and frozen items – including chilling your Prosecco and wine, ready for your arrival!
