Holmfirth Hens offers an extremely relaxed and spacious environment for you to make the very best of your Hen Party, Celebration or Staycation stay!
There are three Lounges in the farmhouse.
The Snug Lounge is part of the open plan kitchen area in the main farmhouse, with a gorgeous log burning stove providing a really cosy atmosphere all helping to support the view that all the best parties end-up in the kitchen!
The main Lounge is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating, a feature multi-fuel stove and large TV with sound bar.
The third Lounge is through the Dining Hall and may offer a quiet sanctuary for those looking to recoup their batteries and prepare for further celebrations!
All Lounges have 48 inch TVs.
Kitchens
We have a large fully equipped modern farmhouse style kitchen with two ‘Stoves’ range-style cookers giving easy and flexible catering from a 9-gas burner hob, two multi-function electric ovens/grills (double 90cm and single 60cm ovens). In addition, there is a microwave, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, 2 kettles, 6-slice toaster, Nespresso coffee maker, filter coffee machine and 2 cafetieres. The kitchen is full stocked with all glassware, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans – infact everything you’ll need to cook up delicious meals! We also provide polycarbonate ‘glasses’ for your outside safety when in the Courtyard and Hot-tub.
There is a small kitchenette area in Bedroom 8 in The Piggery, which has a fridge, kettle, toaster, combination microwave oven, 2-hob induction hob and sink.
Utility Room / WC
The Utility room provides room for boots and coats as well as a large kitchen surface for supermarket deliveries. There’s also a washing machine, separate tumble dryer (both large capacity), sink and coat rack. The downstairs WC is off the utility room and houses the two boilers – one of which is a dedicated hot water boiler giving endless supply of hot water.

Hen party houses often require the ability to sleep many guests. Holmfirth Hens offers spacious hen do accommodation for up to 26 guests.
Bedrooms 1-6 are in the Farmhouse
Bedrooms 7 and 8 are in the ‘Piggery’
The Piggery is accessed internally through the Dining Hall. You’ll have direct access to the Courtyard from Bedroom 8 on the ground floor, and also the gardens via the balcony in Bedroom 7 on the 1st-floor, which has steps down to the gardens.
Most beds have a memory foam mattress and the few which don’t have a thick memory foam topper (including all the guest beds) so you’ll be guaranteed a gorgeous nights’ sleep and get up ready to party all over again!
We use quality bedding and provide a bath and hand towel for every guest.
BEDROOM 1 is a large master bedroom with lovely views over the fields at the front of the house.
This room has a king-size bed, a single bed and loads of room to fit an extra guest bed. It has a large ensuite bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, basin and toilet.
BEDROOM 2 is an overflow bedroom with a single futon-style bed.
BEDROOM 3 is another lovely bedroom with country views to the front and side of the house. It sleeps 3 with a double bed and a single bed. It has an ensuite with shower, basin and toilet.
BEDROOM 4 is another 3-person bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. It’s an interesting room as it has a birds-eye view over the dining hall through the floor to ceiling glass ‘wall’ … don’t worry – there are curtains!
BEDROOM 5 – one of the two 2nd-floor attic bedrooms which are loved by our hen-party groups for the fun of all being together. Bedroom 5 has five single beds. It’s a room filled with light and gorgeous period oak beams.
BEDROOM 6 – The second attic bedroom has 1 double bed and 2 singles. A room filled with light and gorgeous views over the Holme Valley, the Pennines and beyond.
BEDROOM 7 is the first-floor bedroom in the Piggery which is accessed internally through the Dining Hall. It’s a light-filled room with a half-glass stable door taking you out onto the balcony and giving you spectacular views over the gardens, the Pennines and open countryside. The balcony has steps down into the gardens. It has a king-size bed and a single bed with space for an extra single guest bed. The ensuite has a jacuzzi bath with shower over, a basin and a toilet
BEDROOM 8 is also in the Piggery and is a GROUND FLOOR BEDROOM. It’s a fabulous suite room 2 singles and a 3-seater sofa which converts into a full double 4’6″ ‘every-night’ sofa bed. This room also has room for an extra single guest bed. Bedroom 8 has an ensuite bathroom (shower, basin & toilet), a kitchenette area (kettle, toaster, 2-plate induction hob, combination microwave oven, fridge and sink), a 3-seater sofa bed (converts to a 4’6″ double-bed), a further 1-seater sofa chair and a 48″ TV.
There’s ample room for a further single guest bed so this is a great room for large friendship groups.
This is a great room for the mums or grandmas in the group as it offers a ‘break-out’ space when required!
We need to point out that there’s an open staircase between bedrooms 7 and 8.
Our Hen Do accommodation benefits from a total of 6 bath/shower rooms, so plenty of space for you to have a good soak, unwind and relax and get ready for the day ahead or the evening’s entertainment!
We have an endless supply of hot water, so no need to worry if you’re the last one in the bathroom!
First Floor Farm House
- Luxury family Bathroom with feature bath with tower shower-tap, separate shower cubicle, wash-hand basin and toilet. It has two tower towel-radiators so toasty and warm and space to dry loads of towels
- Bedroom 1: Master Suite luxury ensuite bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, wash-hand basin and toilet
- Bedroom 3: Premier Bedroom ensuite with shower, wash-hand basin and toilet
The Piggery
- Bedroom 7: First floor ensuite with whirlpool jacuzzi bath with jets and coloured light settings. Shower over bath, wash-hand basin and toilet
- Bedroom 8: Ground floor ensuite with shower cubicle, wash-hand basin and toilet (ideal for guests with reduced mobility)
Sauna Suite in Courtyard
- Shower in own room plus separate toilet with wash-hand basin
Downstairs Cloakroom
- Toilet and wash-hand basin off utility room
The centrepiece of Holmfirth Hens is without doubt the huge ‘wow factor’ Dining Hall.
We can supply long spans of tables, providing banquet style dining for up to 30 people. For buffet style celebrations or outside catering, the dining hall could happily accommodate up to 100 guests. The tables and room can be dressed and themed as required, so you can create your own unique party atmosphere.
If you’re looking for Hen Party Houses that have a great party room, this room also doubles up as a party room with a huge dance floor, laser lights, and a powerful Bluetooth-enabled sound system for you to stream your own music and play-lists.
Alternatively – book our Karaoke package and sing your hearts out in total privacy! Huge music selection to choose from with words displayed on a LCD monitor. The Karaoke systems runs simultaneously with the laser and strobe lights so … masses of fun.
